Help us bring the new gardens to life!

We need your help to make a new design for Verdi Square Park a reality. 

The generous and talented landscape designers at LaGuardia Design Group have created exciting pro bono plans for Verdi Square Park. Our thousands of visitors a day will enjoy new flowering plants, shrubs, grasses, sedges, trees, a new seating area and more. 

This exciting effort builds on the hard work that Friends of Verdi Square, its donors and volunteers have worked toward for the past five years and will be our most ambitious undertaking yet.

These comprehensive plans will reinvigorate the Meadow with added color and texture, enhance the Woodland with increased plantings and a proposed seating area in front of the Verdi monument, add planters within the plaza, and introduce flowering trees and plants in the rose bed area. 

This ambitious work cannot be done without your generosity and support. Please donate to help beautify and maintain Verdi Square today! 

OUR Fundraising Goal IS $50,000

All donors will be listed on Friends of Verdi Square website.

If you donate $500 or more, we will send you a signed, limited edition print of Verdi Square —  local artist Robert Beck’s painting of the Guiseppe Verdi statue in Verdi Square.

This is the most ambitious fundraising we have ever done – we hope you will help us reach our goal so that we might elevate the Verdi Square Park gardens to a new level of beauty. Please donate at whatever level you are comfortable.
